Privilege
Wonderful and classic restaurant in Cochem! The food is great, you can find the typical food and wine from this region as well as some other German classics. The price is also honest and the atmosphere is perfect. Highly recommended if you want to have a taste of the culture from Rheinland-Pfalz
MoreStop by on "good luck" and quickly get a great seat at the entrance. We could watch the humorous hustle and bustle of the "receptionist". Very friendly handling of waiting guests on the stairs :-) By the way, the food was great and the beer was very tasty. A final basalt fire rounded off the visit. We'd love to come back ... thank you ... it couldn't be better!
MoreThe dinner highlight of our Luxembourg-Koblenz bike tour. Booked by email the evening before. Rump steak & fried potatoes good and plentiful. At least at 6 p.m. very quick service, both drinks and food were at the seat without a long wait. Service and friendliness in general very good. Gladly again!
MoreGreat food, service just great. Always full, but grabbed a table spontaneously. More than worth it.
MoreSuper delicious food. Wine was excellent. The service and attention are great! Really nice restaurant with atmosphere and, above all, child-friendly. Highly Recommended.
MoreVery delicious food, the best restaurant we have visited in Cochem. It was difficult to get a table, but with the service and quality it was no wonder. Courteous host and all in all very good value for money.
MoreThe food was delicious! Big portions so its easy to share if you don't have a big appetite.
MoreFor delicious and fresh food in an authentic building with friendly staff in a beautiful location, this is the place to be! A tip: make a reservation in advance if you want to be sure of a place. We recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back.
MoreThere was a bit of waiting for a table, but it's absolutely worth it! Food and service is exceptional! Can really recommend the Schweinröllchen!
MoreThe restaurant is quite small, but also just great! The food is delicious and the prices are right too. Friendly service. It is very difficult to reserve a table or to get hold of it.
MoreProbably the best restaurant in town! Currently only 9 tables, so always full. Either come spontaneously or make a reservation. Very tasty, home-style and inexpensive food. In addition, very friendly staff.
MoreDelicious food, friendly staff - and super fast! Very well attended, but unfortunately not a place to linger for a long time (at least on our visiting day)
MoreYou have to go there. Super delicious food and really great staff. I haven't felt so comfortable in a restaurant for a long time. The service is very attentive and funny. Can only say full 5 stars ?
MoreCozy restaurant, super friendly staff despite the big crowds and Corona stress. Food was quick and tasty. Highly recommended
MoreVery nice staff, very good food and plenty! Very good wine and the ambience is good and very cozy. All in all a very nice evening
MoreWe were more than satisfied, gladly again! The restaurant has a very nice ambience. We liked the food very much and the staff was very helpful and friendly! If you would like to get a safe place here, it is best to make a reservation, whereby the staff tries to find a place even without a reservation.
MoreThe three of us are on a short vacation near Cochem and ate at the Stüffje yesterday. It was sensational! Reservation is urgently required. Great menu, great service, delicious food. Again any time. :-)
MoreOn a recommendation, the four of us went straight to the restaurant and were not disappointed. All four meals came quickly and were excellent in taste. Good and attentive service. Make a reservation in advance.
MoreGood food and great wines.
Nice atmosphere, very good food and nice staff. Despite the fact that we couldn't make a reservation, we were given a place with four people on Friday. Completely reasonably priced.
MoreI tested the "Saumagen" here ... I can only say: with a bottle of half-dry Moselle wine, totally delicious. The premises are very comfortable ... prices for this region are very reasonable. So recommendable!
MoreDespite the fully booked restaurant, we were able to get a place for an hour. (We came without a reservation at 6 p.m. at 7 p.m. the next reservation was) The fact that we were not simply dismissed was really nice and not at all taken for granted. In fact, it didn't even take 15 minutes for our food to arrive. This tasted good and solid.
MoreDelicious! Very nice waiters! Suitable ambience! Good prices! There is really nothing to complain about. The boss takes his time even though the restaurant was always manned and we even waited outside for half an hour to get a table and chatted a round with each guest. Highly recommended and if you should see a line in front of the door: it's worth the wait Greetings from Monschau
MoreGot us in on a very busy Friday night on the proviso we would eat in an hour. If they knew us they would know this was not going to be an issue (as they now do!). I had schnitzel and bratkartoffen with a peppersauce on the side for dipping purposes :) My wife had jaegerschnitzel. Both were absolutely spot on. I could eat my own bodyweight in the potatoes! Don't go to the tourist traps by the river for dinner when in cochem. Come here. I definitely will next time I'm here ?
MoreThis historic restaurant is a figurehead for Cochem, where there are unfortunately unfortunately many tourist traps. The prices are at least okay, I would say almost too cheap. Service friendly and with humor - especially important in these times. The rustic dishes tasted good and were also absolutely sufficient in terms of quantity. Perhaps it should have been a little hotter, but it was okay. If you can get a seat, visit the "Stüffje".
MoreExcellent food and nice people
Bad customer service. If u dont speak german, dont bother going there.
Probably the best restaurant in Cochem, and just off the market square, Zom Stüffje is a hidden gem, serving traditional German cuisine since the 17th century. Absolutely fantastic German food. I had the Jägerschnitzel, which I heartily recommend. The Bratkartoffel side is heavenly, and the local wine selections pleased everyone in our party. If there is room for improvement, it's the beer selection, which is sparse but solid - a beer lover will not be disappointed, but one does not visit a wine region for the beer after all. The schnapps selection was fantastic and I had several - the hazelnut schnapps was probably the best one I had. So much better than the touristy places down on the promenade, don't even waste your time down there. I did that at first, but I knew it wasn't good enough to actually eat down there... I am so glad we found Zom Stüffje instead!
MoreNice tucked away restaurant that serves authentic German cuisine. Highly recommend!
MoreCozy, with great food and a large selection of alcohol. Relaxing after walking around town.
MoreThe food was some of the best that I have had here and all of it is very good. I would say you should stop in for a bit it's a bit out of the way but well worth it.
MoreVery decent German cuisine.
Great food, not what we expected, but very pleasing. Fantastic wine selection, but we wanted bier, and that was also available.
MoreGreat place. Nice service.
It was very nice restaurant. We could enjoy the time and meals. It was tasty, atmosphere was also nice. Rest room kept clean. I would like to visit again if I could visit this town.
MoreMe and my wife went to Cochem for a shirt honeymoon trip. During the evening we were looking for a place to have a great dinner. Around the riverfront there are lots and lots of tourist restaurants that offer the standard food items you would expect. Great, but when you want to have a great dinner we recommend you to walk past the waterfront into town. In a small side street behind the market square we found Zom Stüffje. A authentic looking little restaurant. We decided to go in an give this a try. And we are very glad we did. During our dinner we got to learn more about this place. The lady of the house serving us turned out to be the owner of the place. Zom Stüffje had been taken over in January of 2017 by the young couple Dominique Klein and Thomas Franken. Dominique is running the front of the house while Thomas, who learned his skills at several restaurants in Europe, led the kitchen. However at the beginning of their restaurant adventure in Cochem, their enthusiasm and clear vision in what they want to create with Zom Stüffje is inspiring. In a welcoming, rustic and traditional setting the restaurant offers fine dining quality for a very affordable price. Our food during the evening was simply amazing. Hardly ever did I have a beef filet so tender and well prepared. Our desserts were equally as amazing. The selection of local wines they offer complemented the meal perfectly. We will most definitely come back here! Thank you Dominique and Thomas for a great evening! Harm & Shay
MoreMixed traditional food to a trendy fine taste, very surprised delicious!
Fantastic!
All I have got is Praise for this restaurant, It had a very nice feel and the steak was one of the best, I have had anywhere. Second only to the Pistenklause at the Nurburgring. High Praise Well done Zom Stüffje
